Thank you to all the parents, volunteers and most of all---- the children and young adult participants who have joined us this past decade and turned My Swim Friends from a dream into a reality with over 300 families and 600 volunteers each summer. Although My Swim Friends does not have any dates currently scheduled for summer 2025, please follow our facebook page below to see updates about our future pool parties and gatherings. What began as a journey to include one child quickly grew into a program to include every child with special needs and challenges. We are in awe of you every day!!!! Can't wait to see you again one day! I will cherish our years together forever!

Hi! I'm Ellie Gabriel and I am in my third year of medical school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philly. I graduated from Manalapan High School in 2018 and have grown up at Country Roads Day Camp.

 

My brother Jack is absolutely my best friend! He was diagnosed with autism when he was 2 years old, and at 21 years old, he is still the happiest kid I know...especially when he is in the pool.

 

This free program is for Jack and all the children on the spectrum who live life to the fullest every day!

-- My Swim Friends is a free swimming program open to children with autism, down syndrome, ADHD, or other neurological challenges ages 3 - 21 (We will not be able to accommodate children in diapers/swim diapers for the summer program due to the pool and waterpark facilities). What place is the most fun in the summer? A POOL!
My Swim Friends is available on weekends during the summer at
Country Roads Day Camp from 11:30am - 1:30pm. I would like to extend the invitation to the siblings (again without diapers/swim diapers) as well so please feel free to include them on the sign-up form
 
--  To help the children socialize and play in the pool each will have a wonderful one-on-one volunteer buddy to stay with your child the entire time, as well as volunteer lifeguards in and
out of the pool to assist. Parents please enjoy the 2 hours of respite…eat, socialize, even close your eyes and bask in the sun to re-energize.
 
 
The program takes place at Country Roads Day Camp in Manalapan, NJ. There are two heated pools, 2 waterslides, and a waterpark sprayground available to the children. The depths of the pools range from 2 feet to 7 feet.
